General Information:
Winter at Great Glen Trails Outdoor
Center offers cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snow tubing at
the base of Mt. Washington. Skate, track, or back-country, our trail
system has something for every skill level from beginners to
advanced skiers. Our ski school offers personal instruction with a
diverse and experienced teaching staff that can coach and guide any
level of experience. We have a full service rental shop and Great
Glen Outfitters is one of the premiere cross-country shops in the
area. The ultimate winter experience is a trip in our SnowCoach up
the Mt. Washington Auto Road to the world above tree line! The
SnowCoach is an 8-passenger van that has been specially equipped
with all-wheel drive and a unique 4-track system. Cross-country ski
or snowshoe down or simply sight see from the comfort of the
SnowCoach. The SnowCoach up the Mt. Washington Auto Road is
available at Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center in Pinkham Notch from
December through March - weather permitting. The 1 1/4 hour tours
depart from Great Glen Trails daily on a first come, first served
basis and advance reservations are not available. SKI PROFILE: Cross

Spring, Summer, and Fall - Imagine mountain biking at the base of
Mt. Washington on beautiful rolling carriage roads and challenging
trails surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest and Northern
Presidential Mountains. Our diverse system crosses beautiful fields,
scenic rivers, and beaver bogs. Rent a bike or bring your own. Or
just come to Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center and enjoy an easy hike
with the family along gentle trails in the shadow of Mt. Washington
and the Presidential Range. Picnic lunches are available in the Glen
View cafe here in the lodge. Warm weather also means guided canoe
and kayak trips with Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center. Come and
float on a mirror smooth lake surrounded by wildlife or challenge
yourself in the rapids with one of Great Glen’s experienced guides.

The "Wildcat Express" quad is transformed into NH's highest 4-person
Gondola Skyride! Ride with family and friends (pets, too!) and
experience breathtaking views of the East's highest peaks in the
comfort and security of Wildcat's 4-person glass-enclosed gondola
cabins! Cast a line in our stocked trout pond, walk a mile in to
Thompson Brook Falls or along a part of the Appalachian Trail.
Enjoy a fresh lunch or picnic made to order and bring along for the
ride---lunch & ride packages complete a FEAST for ALL your senses,
